These are supported by veteran Fire Warriors wearing the extremely destructive "Broadside" battlesuits to offer anti-vehicle support, and the much more mobile, troop-destroying "Crisis" battlesuits, as well as the Commander himself whose suit can be customized to deal with any threat from a safe distance. The Tau resent melee combat as something of the past, undertaken by brutish, uncultured races, and specialize universally in ranged warfare.Īll of their infantry units follow this pattern, with their primary foot soldiers, the Fire Warriors, carrying heavier weapons than the support weapons of some other races. They have advanced extraordinarily quickly, gaining an interplanetary empire, powerful starships, and highly potent military technology all in a fraction of the time taken by most other races to do the same. A relatively young race in the 41st millennium, the Tau Empire is nonetheless a potent one. ![]()
